Foil Stamping

Foil stamping adds a pop to your postcards, and makes them stand out and get noticed. This printing technique uses a heated die and pressure to adhere various colors of foil into your postcard. The foil is permanently attached to the card, creating a shiny, visually arresting effect. Foil stamping can be used with embossing to create a design that has both visual and tactile appeal.

Embossing

Postcards can incorporate embossing to add literal depth to your marketing campaign. Like foil stamping, embossing uses a pair of dies to press a design into the card. This design rises above the surface of the paper, adding another dimension and more tactile appeal. You can custom emboss anything you want into your postcard, including logos, words or design elements.

Die Cuts

Die cuts are a great way to take a standard postcard rectangle and spice it up with a unique shape. Die cutting allows you to cut a specific image or shape into the card, or off of the card, to visually call out your brand, message, or offer. Die cuts are created by using sharp, pre-shaped blades to cut out your desired elements, much like a cookie cutter would cut a shape from cookie dough.

Pantone Inks

Using a specific color for elements of your printed postcard can be a great way to maintain brand consistency. Whether you have a unique color for your logo, or you want to showcase your offer in a specific shade of ink, the Pantone Matching System (PMS) can help you ensure that each postcard presents the same color, every time.

Metallic Ink

Metallic inks offer an interesting alternative to foil stamping. It’s is not quite as shiny as foil stamping, but it does provide subtle reflective properties that can be used quite effectively to enhance the look of your piece. They are more economical than foil stamping, and will help draw your reader’s eye wherever you use them.

Recycled Paper

Using recycled paper for your postcard project is an environmentally conscious way to connect with your audience. Whether you choose 100% recycled paper, paper that contains a lower percentage of post-consumer waste or paper that has been sustainably produced, you can get your message out and feel good about your impact on the planet!

Rip Cards / Tear Cards

Using a perforation on your postcard can give your audience a tangible offer they can bring back to you. These are called Rip Cards or Tear Off Cards, and can be a great way to increase audience engagement. This interactive marketing tactic gives you another avenue to get your message (literally) into your customer’s hands, and keeps those customers engaged with a piece they will bring right back to you. Scratch Off Postcards

This engaging tactic appeals to the curious nature of humans, hiding your offer or code under the familiar opaque layer of scratch off foil.
